A simple free online todo list
It is as easy as that... As soon as you visit the site you can type in a quick reminder, hit enter and you are done. Removing items from the list is just as simple, click on an item and it will be scored off.
Recent System Updates
21/12/2010 - Remember tabs
- Remember the last tab you were on
Now when you log in, as opposed to landing on the 'Quick 2dos' tab, you will arrive back on the last tab you visited.
15/12/2010 - Collaborative lists
- Share and edit lists with friends
Sometimes it is useful to have more than one person working on a list at one time, so I have added the ability to include others in your lists too. Simply click the 'share' button on the top right of a list you have created and send your friend the link it provides you.
13/12/2010 - The big flip
- Bottom is the new top
2dos used to always be created at the top of the page, but this is a little against the traditional style of lists that work down the page. After hearing some user's opinions on this, I decided to try out inverting the lists, building them from the bottom.
13/12/2010 - Looks Overhaul
- The new look
I decided that 2Do needed a change in the looks department. The chunky, bubble looks were interfering with the sole aim of the site, making adding and viewing 2Dos as quick and simple as possible. The large text and big spacing had been designed for readability, but as lists grew longer, users were having to spend more time scrolling to see the items they wanted. The new look is much more compact, hopefully without sacrificing readability.
- Tabs are now lists
I have changed the name of 'tabs' to 'lists' which I think makes more sense. The different lists are now listed down the side of the page as opposed to on the top, allowing the actual 2Dos to be closer to the top.
25/11/2010 - Quick changes
- Undo deletes
Everyone makes mistakes, so I thought I would add the ability to undo deleted items. When you click on an item, it will grey out and be deleted when you reload the page. To stop it being deleted, you just need to click on the greyed out item again.
- Counters on the tabs
The counters on the tabs now update to let you know how many 2dos you have on each tab.
24/11/2010 - Some additional functionality
- Ctrl button function
To follow links pasted in your 2do list, press the 'ctrl' button on your keyboard, then any valid links will highlight and become active.
24/11/2010 - Launch
- User System
Due to some interest, the system has come out of 'in-house testing' (ie. just me using it), and moved into 'public beta' (ie. you can create an account and use it, but there is a good chance something will break somewhere).
- Flashy front page
With the new change, there is now a bit of a neater looking front page now. Saying as others are using it, it is worth tidying the place up a bit!
Possible Future Updates
- Undo
We all make mistakes, so I hope to add some good old fashioned 'ctrl + z' undoing for when you accidentally delete an item, or change your mind. Another solution to this will be to leave any 'deleted' items scored out until you leave the page, allowing you to 'un-delete' them by clicking on them again.
- iPhone / Android
There are a lot of 'todo' lists out there but I might create some simple syncing apps for these platforms, if anything to gain some experience building apps!
- Email this to me
I haven't worked out if it will be useful yet, but I should be able to quite easily add the ability to send out an email to your address containing your 2dos.
